a nice vibe restaurant

Oooh yummy. If you want a good meal out in a nice vibe restaurant and don't mind the canteen style dining the Wagamamas in Brighton wins every time. The food is always fresh and tasty, although weirdly they don't serve spirits at all so no chance of a nice VLS to accompany your food.

I get really stressed out at Wag's. Always too busy/bright/noisy for my poor little head. But this one is one of the better ones, nice and big with lots of natural light, staff are pretty good along with the service.
Food is pretty much of the usual standard - fast and tasty!

If you haven't been to Wagamama's yet then where have you been?
With its induvidual style of seating, (it takes some getting used to - be warned) asian food and prompt service, it's a quick, healthy and enjoyable experience everytime
(and if your stuck for something to choose - number 44 is my favourite!)

I love this restaurant because it's like a canteen... you sit on long benches right next to other diners... which is good fun... you never quite know who you'll be sitting next to, but not ideal if you want to have a private chat.
The food is served when it's ready, so you might get your main before your starter, or after your companions, but as long as you're aware, I don't really think that matters... it's part of the charm.
They provide you with chopsticks... but you can always ask for cutlery. Great fun.

i always forget about how good wagamama is until i go back again! the food is awesome, and its a really casual, relaxed restaurant! the atmosphere is...different, as u sit on long tables and benches, so u could be sat next to a randomer, but its all good, and under the tables is a cool little shelf where u can hang ur bags and coats on which is always handy! all in all, brilliant food, really fast service, and a unique restaurant, not bad...

Love Wagamama - particularly love Wagamama in Brighton

Wagamama is a brilliant Japanese (is it Japanese?! The beer certainly is!) chain of restaurants and this is the best one of the lot. The food is just so full of flavour and delicious. And the great thing is because you can't book you can make the decision to go out last minute on a Saturday night and take the chance queuing with everyone else. The only thing I'd say is don't go here on a first date (or last date!?) It gets really busy and loud and you end up sat on benches with complete strangers next to you - not good if you want to whisper sweet nothings.. or tell someone it's over.

Go here if you want a quick, yummy meal. BUT there is usually always a queue and they serve the food whenever it is ready...which means your meal often turns up after other peoples! But doesn't really matter if you have a nice glass of wine to keep you happy!

The restaurants are modelled on traditional Japanese ramen bars that have been popular for hundreds of years - ramen are Japanese style noodles, served in a meat-based broth, topped with pork, dried seaweed or even corn. Chilli beef ramen, made of noodles in a spicy pork and chicken soup topped with a marinated and grilled sirloin steak and fresh vegetables, is hearty and satisfying.
Although modeled on this, this place is totally modern, and with this, lacks some personality.
However, it is a no fuss... get in, eat, and get out restaurant. Great for lunch, but it's "quickness" may not be everyones idea of a nice relaxing dinner! Also, you never know who may come and plonk themseves on the same table as you.
Absolutely awful

I had a 2 for 1 voucher for Wagamama so I thought it was worth checking out. I had heard good things and was surprised not to have been before, but this was my first and now last time, I was severely disappointed.
We were seated quickly and the order was taken promptly, the food even arrived quickly, they tell you that it doesn't always come together because of the way it is cooked, that's fine...then the problems started though. Being an authentic 'asian' restaurant, you are only given chopsticks. Because we are in the UK, some of us need a knife and fork as well, we waited to ask the waitress for a knife and fork, and waited and waited and eventually my girlfriend had to get up and go to the bar, only to be told that there are no knives in the building so we made do with a fork and spoon???
Then after the meal we sat for 10 minutes with dirty plates in front of us and had to ask for them to be cleared at which point we also requested the bill. The bill came quickly but when i put my card down to pay with, it took a long time again to be dealt with.
Overall I was severely let down by this place, the food was average in the end, too watery, the service was appalling and it did nothing to entice me back. There are plenty of other Chinese/Japanese/Thai options in Brighton and Hove, don't bother with this one

I really like Wagamama, it prides itself on fast fresh asian cuisine. This branch of Wagamama is very good, the staff are friendly and the service is prompt. This is probably my favourite branch of all the wagamamas I have been to. The portions are huge. I recommend the chicken katsu curry, the sauce is so good. If you have never been to Wagamama it is a sleek and simple restaurant that serves a wide variety if yummy asian food. Food is served when its ready so you might get your main before your starter. A good place to eat...
