Only ever been here at lunchtimes with people from work, but it's your standard spit and sawdust pub. the food is great. Chillie Natcho's is my fave. The portions are good and prices reasonable. You may have to wait a while for food at busy times, and it gets busy most lunchtimes. but you can phone and pre orders. There is a small garden at the rear which is great if the weather is good. They have a great aerial photo of Brighton down one wall inside. It's good to see how muchj brighton has changed.
