pretty poor waxing

Well below expectations
Unlike the other two reviews, I found this waxing (full leg) to be pretty rotten. I'm not sure that the woman (she didn't introduce herself) who was performing my treatment washed her hands, she certainly didn't prepare my legs in ANY way. In the past I've had my legs wiped down and powdered before the wax was administered in order to make sure that the whole process was effective. She was very quick and seemed to be more interested in getting to her lunch (I had been told before that her lunch was 30 min after my appointment was scheduled). She was not particularly careful of my skin in more delicate areas nor was she particularly careful of some of the clothes that I was wearing which now are sticky with wax (uncomfortable as I did this during my lunch hour - and not particularly respectful of me as a client). Not only is there a section that has been left that I will have to do myself later, but she did minimal aftercare - only put lotion on the back of my legs and left me to do the front. I was sticking to the treatment bed and there was a fair amount of wax left on my legs. Given the lack of care while I was there and the general shabbiness of the place (when I went to check it out a couple of months ago it seemed a little more upscale), I wouldn't doubt that there is minimal cleaning of the treatment room area between customers. And it isn't all that much cheaper than other local places. I didn't say anything at the time as I figured there wouldn't be any change and frankly it is buyer beware, but there are certain standards that I expect from a beauty salon and most of them WEREN'T met on this occasion. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

fantastic waxing

As expected
If I could just judge the Camomile rooms on the services they provide I would give them 5 stars, the therapists are friendly, professional, honest and most importantly very skilled. I have to say that they do the best waxing I have ever known minimal pain with perfect results. The therapists really listen to what you want and then do it. The Camomile Rooms also reward regular customers who have monthly appointments with a reduced rate for treatments such as waxing. However, I feel that in a beauty salon the surroundings are very important. The Camomile rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment. The cubicles are divided by curtains so you can hear exactly what is going on inside them which can be a little off putting. The treatment tables are very old fashioned as well. Having said this I would not go anywhere elso for my beauty treatments in Canterbury.

Cheap and Painless Waxing!

Beyond expectations
Most definately the least painful place I have ever been waxed. Not sure what the secret is but all the beauticians are very well trained. It really is a miracle that waxing can be this painfree. Ontop of all this it is also the cheapest place I have ever been waxed, and better still there is a 20% for all students on Mondays.
