Above expectations
The Saffron Cafe is a lovely little cafe situated off the high street. It is very popular at lunch time as many of the employees of the surrounding offices come here. If you pick a good time this is a great place to come for a bite to eat. There is alot to choose from, there are small snacks such as pannis as well as bigger meals. The food is all very tasty and is served quite promptly. The food is of a good quality and always tastes good. There is a really nice atmosphere here. This is mainly due to the staff who are really friendly. They always greet you with a smile and they know their regular customers. You always feel welcome here no matter if it is busy. I can strongly reccommend this cafe. Its so good to see a family run businness who obviously enjoy what they do and do it well.

As expected
Saffron Cafe is about a 2 minute walk from the centre of Canterbury and a good choice for a quick breakfast or lunch. The menu is mainly made up of sandwiches, paninis and baguettes all of which are freshly made, with a large selection of fillings and good value for money. Also on the menu are salads, jacket potatoes, omeletes and pasta. This a good choice for breakfast if you fancy a full english but don't fancy the greasy spoon! The breakfasts are good and there are lots of options. The best part about this cafe is the garden, at the back of the restaurant there is a beautiful little courtyard hung with grapevines it really is lovely spot in the spring and summer. Takeaway sandwiches are also available.
