Amazing food. everything there is just perfect. the staff are wicked and efficiant. and the food is just faultless. best restraunt in kent. any one that goes there would know how good it is.

I've always loved the Sportsman as a place to eat out at. It's a minimalist gastro pub that's reflected in it's decor. I think it's the decor, not the fact that it's on a bleak piece of flat land snuggled under a protective sea wall that doesn't do a lot for the ambience.

The food however is great and is consistently of a high standard. Great for sea-food and the like.

One of the only michelin star resturants in kent.

It's wonderfull and when you have eatern too much, you can take a lovely walk along the sea to blow away the cobwebs and help the feast go down.

Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic Food

I've now visited The Sportsman a few times. It's a tatty looking pub on the edge of the marsh and near the sea wall. Each time, the small but varied menu offers up a surprising but fantastic dish. Last time, I had the lamb which was cooked to absolute perfection. There's a great wine list and and shepherd neame beers on tap. This place is definitely the best restaurant in the area. It gets busy over the weekends, so book ahead !
