Below expectations
It's a Wetherspoon so on the plus side the food and drink are cheap. In fact they're probably the cheapest you'll find in Herne Bay
Apart from that, it's soulless and full of chavs. If you're looking for a quiet drink, head somewhere else.
Also... if you're had a few, don't stare too long at the carpet, you'll get hypnotized!

As expected
Okay I know that's not saying much... possibily the best Wetherspoon I've been in... But I mean it as a compliment. I lived in Herne Bay for four years and this is the best pub in the town by a mile. It is located right on the seafront and I always used to bring my DFL (down from London) friends here just so they could marvel at the prices. It is ridiculously cheap. It has a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The only thing is they are massively paranoid about serving someone under age so if you look young-ish take ID. I got asked for ID at the age of 25 - what a compliment, no wonder I like this pub!!
