Every time I go there, I feel like a celebrity for the day! The prices are also very reasonable for such a high quality service they provide and also offers discounts for students. The atmosphere within is so relaxed and you feel as if you are being pampered within you own home!

I have been going to John Anthonys for the last two years.

I when i first went in i wanted a complete new look and they were really helpful and we spent two hours coming up with my new look. When i went back a week leter i was really impressed with the finished look! i love my hair style now.

1st class service from a 1st class salon.John and his team are experts in total hair management. Every visit is a wonderful exprience.The juniors give you a great scalp massage , the styling team create a fantastic look, and they offer great refreshments a glass of wine wow wonderful on a friday afternoon.

The reception of the salon is extremely welcoming and you are always greeted with a warm smile from the receptionist Lisa who always manages to look genuinely pleased to see you. The waiting area is spacious with fantastically comfortable seating. I had a consultation with the colourist who listened and then offered advice. I then had a further consultation with the stylist John who was cutting my hair. As you sit sipping your chosen refreshment, of tea, coffee, wine, or even a Pimms and gazing around, it is evident that the stylists are highly skilled and professional. The friendly juniors do a fabulous head massage whilst conditioning your hair. I always leave this salon feeling totally relaxed with a great feeling of wellbeing.knowing that my crowning glory will be just as nice in eight weeks time. A truly pleasing experience.

I have been to most of colchesters hair salons over the years and highly recommend John Anthony. I now would not let anyone but louise at this salon touch my locks . She has perfected the colour, cut and condition of my hair and it has never looked better. I have told numerous friends and family to use this salon and ALL of them have been thrillled by the experience.

Always come out feeling lifted often go in not knowing what sort of colour or cut but John and Louise are always full of insperation and good coffee! From the moment yoa are greeted by Lisa at reception you feel special the trainees are cheerful & chatty nothing is too much trouble. Have never left dissapointed Thank you John Anthony team. I would strongly recommend them.

I recently had my hair cut by luke wightman at john anthonys hairdressers on head street and i have to say was very impressed by the cut i received. Luke was very professional and funny at the same time always entertaining staff and customers while keeping on track of the job. The salon itself is clean and tidy and is designed nicely, you really feel welcome when you are there.

Pretty damn good.

It was not for great reasons I was getting my hair cut. I had long hair which I really really loved, but due to an unexpected job opening I was forced to have it cut. I was adamant that it would not look good, but my hairdresser Luke at John anthony did a superb job and now I actually like my short hair quite a lot. Luke put me at ease during the haircut which was exactly what I needed, being a great conversationalist as well as upholding the professional aspects of cutting hair, he was a great help and would reccomend him to anyone.

Getting you head back!

Unforutnately, I am one of these people who really don't like having my hair done. That said, John Anthony has quelled my fears over the years and always comes up trumps. I now look forward to the head massage after shampooing. It relaxes you out of the chair. The staff are always helpful and the salon always sends a text as a reminder of your appointment. Refreshments are cool - on a nice summer's day Pimms is served along with tea, coffee, wine, soft drinks and still and sparling water. They definitely have that right. As for the cutting, my stylist, Louise, always comes up with good ideas and styles which suit. Although the salon is tadge pricy - it is like the old adage - you get what you pay for.

The salon is run extremely well by Lisa and John and they provide a welcoming and friendly salon and will always go the extra mile for their customers.
