  • I love Crawley. Was born in Crawley Hospital, grew up here, live and work here. Masses of big businesses are based here, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Holidays, Thales, Unilever Foods, Price Watehouse Coopers, plus did you know Gatwick Airport is actually part of Crawley? There are so many great things about Crawley. The town has a fantastic theatre, "The Hawth", state of the art new leisure centre "K2", great footy stadium, the home of Crawley Town. There are tons of different sports clubs.... Football, Cricket, Swimming, Rugby, Thai Boxing, and so many more. There are stacks of different restaurants (try Caravela on the high street - it's amazing!) lots of bars, couple of clubs, bowling, massive 16 screen cinema at "Cineworld", the list goes on. Crawley gets a hard time in some other areas of Sussex, but the amount of money the thousands of business and homes pay in tax, it supports the rest of West Sussex - so shut your bad mouthing! It's bang smack in the middle between Brighton and London and has great transport links. Both cities are 30 minutes away on the train and with the M23 and M25 minutes away, it's a big reason alot of people choose Crawley to live. And of course there's an international airport in Crawley too! I care passionately about Crawley. There are some fantastic people in the town who fight hard to improve their neighbourhoods and the town in general. From the Crawley Festival to the hundreds of charity events in the town every year, it's a place where people want to help others. When local youngsters have a hard time, accident or suffer through illness, you can guarantee within a few days, someone somewhere in the town is organising an event to raise money for them. Crawley.
