Elvis at the Hawth

Beyond expectations
The Hawth is my local theatre and as it is right on my doorstep I like to support it as much as I can so I went here with a group of 10 friends and family to see Elvis and it was excellent.
They do have a very good programme of live music and theatre, but they could have more live music for the younger audience.
Excellent venue
Just what Crawley needed

This building sums up the difference between Crawley and Brighton. Crawley needed a theatre so they built one, when Brighton needs a new facility it takes them 60 years to get round to it! The Hawth isn't the Theatre Royal but there again it's a big step up from a civic centre. There are two auditoria, so it's able to put on big shows but also provide a reasonable size theatre that can be hired by local drama groups and stage schools, giving youngsters a chance to perform in a real theatre as opposed to the village hall. Has restaurant and bar, both of which are staffed properly so it is possible to get something to eat or drink without missing half the show.

The best Theatre around!

Beyond expectations
The Hawth Theatre is fantastic. It's council run, which means you get the big shows like CATS and BLOOD BROTHERS but also lots of community groups like Crawley Operatic Society and Dance studio's putting on shows too. They always have a great variety of shows on at any time and even an ampitheatre and studio. The Panto's are legendary!
