News Years eve

As expected
Have just spent my new years eve at LB1 and overall was quite impressed. £30 per head for a 5 course meal, plus canapes (all be it one) and a glass of champagne, so this costs for new years i thouht was very good. The food was deliciouse however we were still eating at 11pm as the courses took so long. For new years eve i didnt like this part as would rather have been up dancing and drinking at this time However over all, good food, nice venue and friendly staff.
Nice decor but overly pricey

OK, the place looks great, with fine dining placement as well as open air drinking areas.... and the menu is quite interesting. But the prices are simply too high. As a regular diner in London and Brighton, I would not even expect these prices as similar restaurants there. From memory, an average of £8 for a starter... and a laughable £13 for fish and chips: it's a joke (at our expense). Avoid.

Cool place to meet up

This is quite a new place and has been given a major overhaul from what it was before. Its got quite a trendy, contemporary feel and seems to be fast becoming a very popular place to meet up. Food tastes lovely although it has, on occasions, taken quite a long time to come out. Worth checking out though.

LB1 - Crawley needs it!

Beyond expectations
LB1 was where the Old Maid of Sussex was. It's been massively overhauled into a funky, contemporary bar and restaurant. They do a great 15 minute lunch menu - if your lunch doesn't arrive in 15 minutes from order, then it's free..... and the sunday lunch is sooooo good! Home cooked fresh produce and not a microwave in sight!
