Beyond expectations
I really like going to a local pub and this is within walking distance for me,so really handy! But i dont think ive ever had a good experience at this pub, the food is supposidly home cooked and clearly isnt. The new young owner seems to have no idea on how to run a pub, it`s always full of young abusive people out side. And going back to the food, it really hasnt been very nice at all and very expensive for what you get. Try it, but dont expect too much

As expected
Particularly in the summer, this is a lovely place to go to and sit outside and have a drink and a bite to eat.
The food wasnt great for a while but is now back to its best.
If you live in Burgess Hill, it's a nice place to cycle to going up Gatehouse Lane.
