7 rooms

The only option if you wanted a late drink in mk for ages, now started to suffer from the smoking ban and the other newer bars opening around it, but always have a laugh even if the drinks are a bit pricey

Not just a club

30 May 08, 11:14 3* As expected

Oceana is something like 2 nightclubs and 7 bars so you should be able to find something you'll like. My fav is the disco room for a boogie but parissiene boudoir to chill. I think passed the age of 30 you are probably abit too old.

makes me feel classy

29 May 08, 20:23 4* Above expectations

most people will have been to an oceana before, and this one is no different, to be honest i always feel classy compared to some people who frequent it, but it has character.

it has different rooms to suit different tastes, you can get drunk, dance a lot and sing to your hearts content.

even has hot dog sellers inside, and the people that run it are great people who in no way have given me free entry in the past....

the beauty of places like this is you can meet some crazy people, some very attractive ladies, some quite old people....but dont expect any relationship to last once you leave the premises, the front doors have mystical powers that remove rose tinted spectacles

Oceana

29 May 08, 17:22 4* Above expectations

If you like your 80's music then you will certainly find that here and different rooms for different folk are available, so if you dont wanna dance to loud music head for one of the quieter bars on the first floor. Great to watch the ladies.

Pro každého něco

18 May 08, 11:01 3* As expected

Probably the best club in Mk

17 May 08, 21:39 4* Above expectations

If you just cant go home at 11pm then you might just find yourself in Oceana. I would try and knock it but i met my husband in here, so I guess i should be singing its praises. I like the fact you can go on a proper man hunt in Oceana and lap to your hearts content.

Not bad at all my friends, not bad!

28 Apr 08, 16:38 4* Above expectations

Oceana is good! I get in for free (happy days) I don't like the ice room at all. It takes ages to get to the baby-bell. The cheesey room is good but everyone seems to fart on the dancefloor and it really lingers. They could do with some more extractor fans in here.

HUGE selection

23 Apr 08, 10:51 4* Above expectations

I'm not a massive clubber myself, but Oceana is amazing. Some of the people are quite grim and watch out for the 'boudoir' section post midnight when all the dry-humpers think it's really sexy to get it on infront of a room full of people. Tasteful! But other than that there's loads of choice for everyone. The Japanese bar is great to go and chill in if you've had enough of the Ice Room... plus the disco room is fun and plays loads of cheesey stuff. Not much room to dance though so you may find your face in many an armpit. Nice.

Party on

21 Apr 08, 20:05 3* As expected

It is what it is..... somewhere to push on when all the pubs have shut. Its a massive venue with a couple of different music rooms to choose from depending on what your preference is. It can get packed, but there is very little trouble. Best book a cab though as the queue at 3pm is enourmous.

More Music Variety

21 Apr 08, 13:00 5* Beyond expectations

I know - it sounds like a cheesy radio station strapline, but that’s the best way to sum up Oceana.

There are 6 or 7 rooms (depending on what you count as a room)

There’s (from memory):

1) The main entrance/ground floor room – normally smooth R&B or sometimes Drum n Bass – quite spacious, lots of candle-lit tables.

2) Tokyo Bar (or something) – Generic poppy/clubby/commercial dancey music – standing room only

3) A chilled out bar with tables and food early doors.

4) The Disco Room – huge flashing dance floor, hotpants and glitter balls – great fun!

5) The love-in – a Parisian boudoir with smooth grooves and sexy snugs

6) The surf-shack (or something like that) – Jumpin Jaks esque décor, indie beats

7) The main room – commercial dance

So, even if you have to pay (can be upto a tenna), it’s worth it, as there really is something for everyone.

Cheese!

21 Apr 08, 10:00 4* Above expectations

If you love singing along to everything thats played after a few drinks on a night out this is the place in MK for you, you come away with a sore throat cos of all the singing you do.

Proper cheese from A-Ha, Ace Of Base and Whitney in one room then a proper chill oput in another, loads of bars so it doesn't take ages to get served, and its always a busy one!

time to party or not

18 Apr 08, 12:04 2* Below expectations

This is one of them clubs that boast's it has something for everyone, maybe it does i do find it rather cheesey but then some of us like that,i also find that the dj's like the sound of there own voices a bit to much, and what is doing the YMCA backwords all about maybe 15 years ago but come on move with the times.

Cheesy. Really Really Cheesy.

17 Apr 08, 23:41 3* As expected

The beauty of this place is that every room is totally different:

Credible dance and rnb in the Ice House.

Indie in the Australian Rom

And a 'Parisien Boudour' where they dont understand French or sell champagne.

But it's best known for the New York Disco, If you like dancing round your handbag to Djs who love the sound of their own voices surrounded by hen parties and men in ben sherman shirts this is a great place to go. Not to everyone's taste but actually if you wanna let your hair down and just enjoy it for what it is, you can have a good night here.

Even the door staff are friendly. I was delighted to be asked for ID. For the first time since I turned 30,

Multi themed room action

17 Apr 08, 19:52 4* Above expectations

Oceana in Milton Keynes is a truly impressive nightclub! It boasts a range of differently themed rooms including the Japanese room (full of tv screens) the French, the Ice House, the Australia room and my personal favourite - the cost 'Ski Lodge'. Okay, it's pretty expensive to get in and drink but for a night of sheer variety, this club has it all.
