Well below expectations
I agree that the above pub is very good value for food which is plentiful and tasty. But the standard of cleanliness when I went was much to be desired! Perhaps there was not enough staff that day, it was very busy and diners were having to remove dirty plates to other tables even though the waitresses/waiters could see this happening! It was not very organised. However the staff on the carvery were excellant, and as stated helpful. Its a pity the other staff let them down and were not to the same standard.

Beyond expectations
This place is the nuts, set ina beautiful location, its a bar with a huge seating area for diners, they do a carvery where they fill your plate with as much fresh cut meat as you want, for £6.50 on a sunday, and weekdays it costs just £3.50.
Drinks are well priced too and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
