This place is Ok to pop in for a beer on the way to somewhere else. Full of the Southsea wannabe crowd...i.e. I wanna be rich and famous, look at these clothes...but I actually work at Lidl. Steep too.

I used to hate this bar, however, I went recently with a friend and found it to be not so intimidating, the new layout downstairs has helped with this and offered more seating. Although it is still a very small bar, and only good for having a drink before you go on else where.

This is a good night and attracts many different crowds.
At the weekend it gets really busy and you dont have to wait outside.
Its a good place to start off the night, start as you mean to begin

Fun place for a Saturday night out

Drift is great for a fun night out and also offers a decent tapas style menu during the day. I tend to go on a Saturday evening as it's open late so there's no need to travel all over town going to different bars as you could easily spend all evening here!

Drift bar is on palmerston road and considered a young and trendy bar. i have been both during the day for food and in the evening for a night out. on entering the bar is clean and stylish but small. there is one bar downstairs and one upstairs and that aswell is small so it can get very cramped. music is generally dance and techo orientated but serves more as background music and it is more of a place to drink and socialise however there are some good planned event nights. staff are freindly and food was delicious especially the home made chips although our burgers were not cooked properly and pretty much raw in the middle, we were offered free drinks and staff were very apologetic and they were very large real mince burgers so it wasnt really to big a problem. drinks were £5 for 2 cokes and £7 for a burger and chips. drift is a nice funky place to go if you enjoy going to bars and the clientele is young and hip
