The Gorge Cafe

The Gorge has been open in Reading for as long as I can remember. A hit with students, rowers and those looking for a proper english fry up.

Don't expect an elegant continental style cafe. This is blunt, to the point and British. And the food tastes all the better for it.

Sometimes the environment changes how a meal tastes, and The Gorge is as essential to a Reading fry up as the Brighton Pier is to cod and chips.

It's not just food, this is an experience...

With the world so health concious these days, there are not many places that you can get a proper fry up... especially not one like the Gorge.

Really friendly, good food, and good prices.

Grab a paper, it's a great place to chill out any morning of the week...

place for all the builders, plumbers etc for a good breakfast you name it and it's on the plate lots of grease! Have only had the pleasure of going here once.
