What an oasis. Clean. Smark. Beautiful surroundings, glasses, unbeieveable drinks. I found this on the worldsbest bars web site. The worlds!!! Fit bar guys, crazy movies on backbar....Lots of nice guys, no chavs. Crowd in my old haunts getting a bit more scruffy as are the venues, the old Gun Street haunts. No hasle and the firendliest door staff I ever did meet. xxx Keep it up guys especially Ron and "the Bons"

Mix won best bar London and South East in a recent National Bar Award, makes you prud in our city, created and run by locals. Nice atmos altogether really.

Great drinks, imaginative, lots of good looking girls, no idiots, no hassle. Queues can be drag but worth the wait. We booked the VIP area, well worth it.

Funky Chavs

This bar is top to toe with Funky chavs bring with them a very protentious atmosphere. The cocktails are ok and suit the clientele..

Nice if you're into that scene but this place is for people who're too cool for school.

One of the best cocktail bars in Reading and I'm lucky enough to work just around the corner. Whoever decorated this place definetly had the more than just the student crowd in mind. Decked out with seriously comfy white leather sofas, soft pink lighting, huge mirrors and black chandeliers the bar looks the business. They also have a nice looking VIP area hidden behind lush velvet curtains if you're looking for an extra bit of exclusivity although they ask for £100 to hire this area out. The bar staff are all very friendly so even when I've been the first to arrive they've been nice and chatty and made me feel at home. They've definetly worked out that if they make the bar the kind of place girls want to go then the guys will soon follow and on all the occassions I've been there's been a really nice mixed crowd inside. They have a DJ in the evenings who adds to the atmosphere but you can still hear each other speak which is always a bonus and finally before I forget the most important part, the barmen really do know their stuff and the cocktails are very good, especially if you get there in happy hour when you can choose from their Blissful selection priced at only £3.50. The only bad thing I can say about the place is that it isn't busy enough at lunch times yet so it's a bit too quite to go there for a'liquid lunch' on a friday.
