A wonderful restaurant to visit either at lunch time or for dinner in the evening, the quality of the food and the service can't be faulted, the prawns are out of this world and the fish tastes so fresh, with a good wine list you are sure to find something you like and is reasonably priced

fish restaurant if you are a lover of fish, you can see what your ordering and they encourage you to try something new, the staff are very good and if your not a fishy lover they do steak.

As expected
Nice location over looking the river/canal, nice traditional building, good selection of fish dishes, and reasonably good service. It's a lttle pricey and can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't quite live up to my expactations.

As expected
Whilst the 'fishy' food is very good and well presented I find Loch Fyne a little on the pricey side as veggies need to be ordered seperatley in addition to the already slightly over priced main dishes. The service is very good and the rustic building over 3 floors is very nicely decorated and over looks the river. I find this to be cold in the winter months.

Beyond expectations
This is a great fish restaurant offering some of the more weird and wonderful fishes of the sea. Is great for a quick lunch or for a more special dinner in the evening. Good selection of wines too. Prices are good and they do special offers if you sit down to eat before 7pm. Definitely worth a visit.

Below expectations
I love seafood so I was really excited about going here, especially as I'd been to Loch Fyne in scotland where this chain originated. Scotland produces some fine oysters and so I went for oysters as a starter but when they arrived they were very small and gritty so I was very dissapointed. Then they seemed to forget our mains as we were left waiting for an hour. The staff were very good about it in as good as you can be when you are having to say'I'm really sorry we forgot your order!'. Anyway, I really hope they get better or that other people have had better experiences than me but I'm also not in any rush to go back. These problems aside the menu was very old school and considering the wonderful ingredients they have to work with they really could do a lot better in my opinion.
