great atmosphere , always friendly and helpful staff. above all the food is great! the setting on the edge of the woods makes it an ideal place to refuel after that bike ride or walk through the woods.

The Bull Inn - A great place to eat

Beyond expectations
The Bull Inn is part of the Chef and Brewer chain. It offers more than the usual burger, chips and lasagne (though they are available too) but instead British Beef & Bombardier Ale Pie, Shepherd's Pie, Aromatic Thai King Prawn Curry and I strongly recommend the Roasted Root Vegetables and Somerset Brie Tart Tartin! The service is great and the atmosphere like a typical country pub with very reasonable prices. Definitely one of the best pubs to go and eat in the South of Essex!
