In the shadow of the impressive Bodiam Castle built way back in 1385 this Inn serves up traditional home cooked food with generous portions to surpress your hunger.
The Kent and East Sussex Railway line runs right through Bodiam so how about making your visit extra special with a steam train ride through the Rother Valley to this fairytale location.

Castle Inn!!

One of the most famous and stunning locations in Britain - and the castle isn't bad either! The Castle Inn is an historic pub situated beside Bodiam Castle (National Trust).
It serves out standing home-cooked meals, using local produce whenever possible, served in the restaurant.
And there's a delightful river terrace in the garden, with stunning views across the castle.
The pub is a few hundred yards away from the newly-opened Bodiam Station, with links via vintage Kent & East Sussex Railway steam trains from Tenterden and Northiam. There are also boat trips available on the river and the area is very popular with walkers.
Carpark next to the pub, and within the castle grounds. Great place to go for a afternoon out.
