Thorpe Park is the next best thing to Alton Towers. It has the best rides for all the family and its only down the road from Reading. The queues can be long but always worth the wait. Don't go on Tidal Wave unless you are prepared top get SOAKED. I am still waiting to go on Stealth as the past 3 times I have been its been closed due to the weather :o( The price is good and there is always 2-4-1 vouchers about at some point of the year which makes it even better !!!

Great Price. Great Rides. Stealth, 200ft high, eighty miles per hour. Nemesis, dangle your legs and Colossus, world's first ten loop rollercoaster, Brilliant Rides, must see.

This place is amazing. Has the best rides. Perfect for someone over the height of 1.4 metres. Can have long queues but they are so worth it. I Love This Place, especially the ride Stealth.

Thorpe Park is just brilliant!! The rides are all fantastic, I always head straight for the fastest ride there! Yes ok, you do have to queue, but I would say it is worth the wait. The best still has to be coloussus with all the loops but the detonator and stelth come in a close second. Dont go on tidal wave and expect to stay dry, I would recommend this early on so you have time to dry off, in fact follow it with coloussus and you might dry off a bit quicker. I had my hen day here and it was just perfect (I am still amazed my mother in law came on the fast rides as she is scared of heights, but she did, and we have the photos to prove it). For something a bit quieter try visiting the wild west and having you photo taken as a coyboy and bar girl, it is a bit of fancy dress fun! Or you could go for a ride on the steamer, and of course there is always the teacups!

so if you didn't know both thorpe park and chessington - and alton towers for that matter are owned by the same people. chessington is for the younger kids, and thorpe park for the bigger kids and adults.

this place does NOT dissapoint!

the rides are awesome, thrilling and all feel like the big rides in the florida theme parks. the tidal wave zone is sooooooo based on the jaws zone in universal studios florida - which is no bad thing - thorpe park was small when i was a kid, my how its grown up. if you haven't been GO GO GO you will love every minute.

Absolutely brilliant. It's hard to do this place justice without going to the website to check out the rides on the site or you tube. Just like any theme park, it’ll be busy when it’s sunny and the school are out, but if you can find a cloudy day during term time then take full advantage of the smaller queues and be a big kid again. There’s even a nice farm area if you want to get a bit of peace and quiet from the screaming rollercoaster riders

Take avantage of the fast pass queue jump tickets, they are well worth it.

Thorpe Park is the best day out you can have with your family or your mates, I've been loads of times with family and also with friends on separate occasions and never had a bad day!

The price increases every year so it is now fairly expensive if you have to pay the full price, but thankfully every year 2-for-1 vouchers appear in the papers which make it almost reasonable... That said, it is WELL worth it, a great day out for all!
