Dog Walkers Heaven

26 Jun 08, 09:23 5* Beyond expectations

What a setting, looking out over the water with a pint in your hand after walking the Crow's Link and the cliff walks to get there with your Rhodesian Ridgeback, Willow, a welcoming pint and a fab steak. In the winter a warm fireside game of cards and a bottle of wine- what more could a girl ask for......heaven. Dog and walker friendly, dogs are welcomed in and they even provide feet bags for dirty boots! (for the owners not the dogs) how considerate!!

Love it. Love it, Love it!!!!!!

I love this Little pub its set in the seaford country side, with views of the beautiful cuckmere river. Ive been here about three times and have enjoyed myself everytime, its got a real cosy atmosphere with a huge roaring fire right in the middle of the pub which always makes me sleepy! The food is good, huge portions though! And there is a great selection of wines. I would certainly reccomend a visit.

Wonderful !

I have visited this pub on one occasion and would definately reccomend it to anyone. The ub is situated right on the river and is easily accessed by car with lots of on site parking. My friend and I went here one evening for dinner and were very impressed. The pub has a lovely Christmas feel to it with a huge open fire and lots of low beams and lanterns. They have a great selection of wines, all very reasonable. Their menu is traditional english comfort food, large pies, fish and chips etc. All piping hot. This is a great place for a chilled out, slow meal for anyone. I would definately reccomend.

A great place for a sunny afternoon...

Set in an amazing location on the Cuckmere river, just outside Seaford heading towards Eastbourne on the A259 this is one of the nicer "chain" pubs.

Good points: at off peak times and in good weather, this place is great for a relaxed catch up with mates. OK prices, and above average food with friendly bar staff. One of the better pubs in the area.

Bad Points: Busy periods! Because of it's prime location, don't expect to turn up for Sunday lunch and get it within 30 mins, for me, it's never beem less than 45!

They operate a bar order service, which is fine again untill busy periods. at peak times It can be frustrating waiting behind 8 people, waiting to be served by one or two bar staff.
