busy but good atmosphere

60 Million isn't far from the B-I-C and bar So and gets packed out on Thurs/Fri and Sat nights.

It's quite pricey - but worth a visit if you're on a bar crawl around Bournemouth.

It has a big smoking area outside.

great place

Great bar with a chilled out atmosphere. Fantastic on sunny days, good food and drink selection - they even stock strawberry and apple beer! In the evenings they have djs and live bands. Perfect!

decent little place...!

I can't work out whether it is a brilliant name for a bar or a stupid name. Either way it is different and catches the eye as you're walking down the street, as does the funky decor inside! The drinks are good and the food is pretty awesome too!

Silly name but OK

02 May 08, 10:50 3* As expected

First of all - a ridiculous name. Used to be Edwards, now sounds like a Katie Melua song. It's OK - quite big inside. Gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights but so do most barsin Bournemouth. Quite a large area outside for smokers. Nice place to visit during the day for daytime drinking - always fun!

60 what?

01 May 08, 17:21 4* Above expectations

60 Million Postcards is a great place to go and we go nearly every week. It is much better than the old Edwards. The decor is nicer, trendier and appeals to a slightly different class of people. It's not too toffee nosed like other places I could mention and they play great music within the Rock and Indie genre. The food is very good too. The only thing I would say about this place is that if they don't like the look of you on the door, they will ask you for a members card. There is such a thing but it's not really neccessary if you behave.

Great Sunday lunch

17 Apr 08, 17:25 4* Above expectations

A fun, quirky but funky bar which, aside from a great selection of drinks also does the most amazing Sunday lunches ever. Perfect after a heavy Saturday night out.

Great improvement...

03 Nov 07, 11:12 3* As expected

This is a place that I always remember as 'Edward's' which was rubbish, so I probably should move on from that. Newly re-invented as Sixty Million Postcards, on my first viewing since the fancy new signs went up, I have to say I like what they've done with the old girl. The name fits in well with the indie scene they are aiming for, and is very apt for a seaside town, so far so good. The decor is much better than its previous alias, and the revamped menu also an improvement. The music selection is wide-ranging, but mostly of an indie ilk. Having only been there once, I can't say it's my favorite place to go for an evening out, but I'm sure I will go there again. Great place to start off the evening, but not a place where nights become legendary.
