Great pub

Everytime we use this pub the service is excellent. The drinks are cheap and the food is amazing. The staff go out of their way to help you. Its location is perfect as its near bus stops and a taxi rank.

Typical wetherspoons in terms of menu and prices, good sized venue but for some reason the downstairs bar area always smells of sick. They also have a small garden with tables and massive umbrellas. All the umbrellas touch - essentially creating a cealing and yet people are still allowed to smoke

The Moon in the Square is easy to find right in Bournemouth Square. It's near the taxi rank and bus stops so is a good place to start the night and meet friends.
Drinks are cheaper as it's a whetherspoons pub

Nothing wrong with that but it certainly gets a bit full of students. Since the smoking ban it's got a bit better. there are some good little beer and a curry deals but it's just a bit too busy really. Sit upstairs outside if the weather is nice. Or like everyone else use it to tank up on cheap booze and shoot off somewhere else before closing.

The drinks are cheap and the food is tasty. I always have their 2 for 1 offer when I go with a friend. 2 meals for around £8. Can't go wrong with that.
Because it's big you can always find a seat. The staff are friendly and as long as it's not a weekend night, you get served quickly.

Great place to go on your lunch hour with cheap food and drinks plus an outside patio upstairs - quite unique for Bournemouth. The weekends tend to be a bit rowdy but worth checking out their curry night (I think it's a Tuesday) ..curry, rice, poppdaum, naan and a pint all for about a fiver.

This Wetherspoons pub is situated right in the centre of Bournemouth and has bars on 2 floors. Upstairs has a terrace garden at the rear and large windows overlooking Bournemouth square and the Lower Gardens to the front.
Can get extremely busy on weekend evenings but get there early find yourself a seat & settle in for a cheap night out. The food is good with the usual Wetherspoons menu on offer and it always comes out hot.

Far far too busy at weekends - if you go in early, its perfect for an "en route" stopover and handy location but getting to the bar past 8 is pretty impossible and can get full of letches!

The Moon is a great place to start the evening. The food is good for the price and there's a large menu to choose from. The drinks are always at a good price and generally you don't have to queue for long at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff are rushed off their feet but still friendly and cheery.

Pretty much what you'd expect of a Weatherspoons. Cheap food - pretty quick service. You get what you pay for. It's in a good location and there's plenty of seating.
It's pretty rammed on a weekend night - so not great for a quiet meal - but cool if you're starting you night out!

...and that really is all you can say. Upstairs used to feel special because it was no smoking. Now upstairs doesn't feel so special, aside from the small roof terrace there is if you want to eat outside. Very central in town but otherwise it is everything you'd expect from a Wetherspoons.

Wether it's a Wetherspoons or not...

...it's a pretty lame pub. It's gets really busy, mainly due to the cheap deals they do on drinks and meals. The pint and a curry night was always popular. This particular Wetherspoons is probably more disappointing than the rest - it's in need of a refurb and the staff need a bit of customer service training!

Great place to start your night

The Moon is basically the same as any other Wetherspoon's pubs. Although all Wetherspoon's have the same menu The Moon's kithcen staff seem much more able to cope and the quality of the food is better than most other Wetherspoons'.
Food aside, i find that the Moon in The Square is in a great location as it is central to all of the Bournemouth clubs and is a great place to start a night out as you can get a few cheap drinks in before hitting the town.

huge central Wetherspoons pub

A massive pub right in the middle of Bournemouth, it's a Wetherspoons so it's cheap and cheerful, does food, has a little garden bit that's lovely in summer, is it any wonder it's popular?! It's always been busy whenever I've been in, but I've never had trouble getting served at the bar.
It gets ridiculously crowded on Friday/Saturday nights, so it's definitely not one for the claustraphobic!!!

Exactly what a Weatherspoons should be

The drinks are very reasonably priced, the service is prompt and the food is of decent although not exceptional standard. It conforms to what you expect from a Weatherspoons and never disappoints. Perfect for mid-month nights out when you don't have too much to spend.
