A nice big store with opticians/chemist, MacDonalds, audio/visual section, clothing section plus lots more. I only shop here as it's close to work and wouldn't go for my main shop but it's really cheap. There are a complete mix of people from local office workers to local red-light workers. It has a 2 level free carpark which is good being so close to town and is right next door to the train station.

Food is cheap which is good...and I love the reduced priced hot chickens at the end of the day.
I love George the clothing the range too.
But it's always very busy so you have to wait ages at the till!

This Asda isn't too big but it's quite easy to find everything and has lots of items stocked up.
it's the only Asda in town though, so at lunchtimes during the week is the worst time to go cos you'll be queing for a while!

this asda is always so busy, mostly with students! it's got a good range though, inc quite a large George section. There's a McDonalds and a pharmacy in the front entrance so it really is a one stop shop!

a cheap supermarket AND fast food?

You know what you get with Asda - cheap! But this one has a McDonalds too which can be great if you're a bit peckish - or a nightmare if you've brought the kids shopping - try getting past that without one of them chirping up "i'm hungry!" - oh, funny that, you weren't hungry BEFORE we left home, but now we're outside a fast food store you're all of a sudden struck by a bout of hunger?!
The only thing I dislike about this Asda is getting out the car park afterwards! The exit is more or less right onto St Pauls Roundabout which is busy and chaotic at the best of times - do expect other drivers to swear and 'gesture' at you as you try and get onto the main road!

The front till is poorly staffed at lunchtime and is slow even at non-peak. There is a stupid system whereby one of the cashiers leaves their post everytime someone needs a lottery ticket. The self service tills are not well looked after. You can have a problem and wait ages to have it fixed. As with most Asdas the prices are ok but I don't think the hassle is worth it.

I think the meat is really cheap, and the veg goes off very quickly and I don't think the fruit is as fresh as they make out!
I don't like any asda's own stuff

This is a great branch of Asda, they always have loads of special offers and the staff are especially friendly.
If you're peckish there's even a McDonald's in store to help fill you up.

Asda is awesome anyway but this one has a McDonalds inside as well! Cheap and cheerful for Asda, helpful staff and you can buy anything you could possibly need in Asda.

It doesnt matter what you go to but, your going to get it at a decent price here. The clothes are trendy but prieced much less than the high street placed, the food is tastey but you end up with many more bags for your money, and the pre cooked food dis great if your rushing in for lunch. I have found the staff to be friendly and willing to help and most importantly, they dont try to tell you you cant have their carrier bags!!!!

Probably one of the best Asdas located locally, can sometimes be busy, and the staff seem to be all in the loony farm but that makes it all part of the fun of visiting there.

An Honest Ad!

There must be a million adverts on the TV at the moment - all selling something or other.
They all just merge into 1 - message after message - nothing gets taken in any more.
More fool me!
Had I paid attention to the recent ASDA commercials - banging on about how much cheaper they are - I might have saved myself a fortune by now - it's TOTALLY true!!!
I decided to try them out one weekend - and my shop - which would normally come to around £100 only came to £40.
I brought pretty much the same stuff I normally would - but because they have a lot of deals on - I came out with more products for less money!
