Below expectations
The air conditioning is far too loud... so you turn it off... and then you can't sleep 'cos you're too hot... then you open a window and you can't sleep 'cos it's too noisy! The food is good though - breakfasts and dinner and the staff are friendly.

Below expectations
Once the Royal Victoria, then the Swallow Royal - now another Marriott. Even the statue of the old Queen outside has seen better days. The bar is still a great place to meet but the function rooms are disappointing. The one highlight is Michael Caines' restaurant (yes the chef not the actor!) The decor really doesn't do it - but when you have a Michelin starred chef in the kitchen I suppose you can ignore it

The best thing about Marriot hotels is the beds!
They are the most comfortabe beds in the world!
This hotel is lovely, good service and friendly staff.
A great stay and a brilliant location right in the centre of Bristol.
