The Shilling is one of the most popular gay clubs in bristol and has been around for years.
It's not that big - but the layout makes the most of the venue.
There's different music for different nights of the week.

Beyond expectations
I always find the Shilling is a great night out, the club itself isnt the biggest in the world, but it's not tiny either.
The bar staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.
The dance floor is towards the back of the club and is slightly higher than everything else.
The bar is fantastic, it changes colour and always looks great.
The door staff are also very helpful and pro-active

Above expectations
I was just trying out something new, not been to a venue like this before. Queen's Shilling is a gay bar in the center of Bristol. The atmospher was great a everyone was very friendly... the music was a little cheesy but that was good. I was very pleased that my request was played by the DJ, I hadn't heard "Scatman John" in some time.
