Why is it everytime I step out of Ikea i have bags full of plastic kitchen accessories that i really don't need or know how to use??? It's like an addiction.....
I love this place, so much so that i regularly drive all the way from Bournemouth just to check it out what's new.
They have pretty much everything you'd need to kit out your home all in 'display rooms' so you can really see what it's gonna look like when its assembled.
Handy note - make use of free tape measures cos its a right pain in the arse when you get home and you're brand spanking new shelving display is 5cm too big for your wall and you have to pack it all up and drive all the way back to Bristol to return it (never again!)
Before you leave make sure you check out the food counter - with meatballs, hot dogs and ice cream you can't beat it - just not all at once.

This Ikea is really big and is easy to find, just off the M32 in Bristol.
It has a big choice of things for the home... it's especially good for things like kitchen extras, ie: glasses, t-towels, pots and pans.. which you can get all in one go.
Delivery can be quite expensive if you're buying larger items and need it delivered a bigger distance

If you can stand the cues and stomach the Swedish meatballs, IKEA offers well-designed furniture at wallet friendly prices.
Bristol's IKEA superstore is located on the site of Bristol Rovers old Eastville Ground, which until recently still had a tall floodlight on site - ideal for direction purposes.

Fantastic furniture and reasonably priced. You'll find something that you can't possible live without and need to take home.
However don't ever think "I'll just quickly pop in" because once you're in your leadaround a predetermined route and you'll be her for ever.
I now realise why Norway was under Swedish rule for so long... they went into an Ikea and it took them 400 years to find their way out!

i could spend a fortune in Ikea amazing and affordable - my only gripe is with the lay out. I went in to find 4 cups the other day and it took what felt like hours to actually find them while you follow the yellow brick road round the entire store.

Everyone loves Ikea, and I am no exception - but I always find I spend more than I had planned to.
The prices are great and the quaulity is pretty good and the furniture always looks great...simple, yet stylish.
The most important thing about any Ikea has got to be the restaurant, the fish is lush!
My only recommendation would be dont go at the weekends unless you want to waste a whole day!
When is it coming to Plymouth?

I have to travel approx 280 miles round trip to go to Ikea, so when I cry is it coming to Plymouth?
If your furnishing you home on a budget, this is a great place to go. best buys are kids furniture, soft furnishings and nick nacks, such as candles etc I try and stay clear of the weekends as it gets very busy, good value but getting there is a pain for me.

What is it with Ikea? You know exactly what's gonna happen each time - everything costs 79p but by the time you get through the check out you get a bill for £480 - how come?
Still the furniture's pretty good, the Meatballs are great (so long as you get the hot ones) and it's pretty convenient - just don't go at the weekend .... NO WAY HOSÉ - that's the easiest way to ruin a prefectly good weekend and have an arguement with the wife at the same time!

Right on the money

I've been relatively impressed with Ikea on the whole - especially after I figured out that there was a way of getting round the store WITHOUT following the path which leads you past every single display, haha. I like how all the things are laid out in display 'rooms' so you can see how it looks against other items in a room. Ok, so it's not the highest quality furniture but most of it looks presentable and at the price it's fine for a rented property like ours (where not everything is matching). You can get your house looking quite cool at a reasonable price. Word of warning - if you go there at the weekend expect to be elbowing people out of the way because it is SO busy. If you can, try to go during the week or one weeknight. Apart from the shop being very busy you can easily queue for half an hour once you've chosen and collected your things (that is if they aren't out of stock). Don't forget to get some tasty food in the little shop on the way out...some of the stuff's a bit random but some is really yummy.
