As expected
This has been my local for about 6 years now and still enjoy sitting outside with a nice pint on a summers afternoon. There are plenty of tables, a bit of grass for the kids to run around on and a play area. The inside had a refurb the other year so looks much better now and you can either eat in the bar area (I usually have a Club Sandwhich) or have a proper meal in the newly refurbished restaurant (the sunday roasts are good and the fish skewers). At the end of the day it's a Beefeater so you kind of know what to expect but the staff are always friendly and the food is always tasty plus they serve Ringwood Ale. If you live locally and don't have a lot of room when friends visit then I always advise them to stop in one of their rooms. It's a premier travel inn so quite cheap (approx £45 a night) and the rooms in the huge extension are clean and modern (it was only built a couple of years ago).
