Beautiful Hotel

14 May 08, 16:11 4* Above expectations

I stayed at the hotel last October when it had just opened and really cant fault it. Set in a stunning location it has been beautifully built to compliment the area. The rooms were nicely furnished with a balcony to sit and view the lake, great with a glass of wine.

The food was of a high standard with a good wine list- what more could I ask!!

Very Nice

28 Apr 08, 17:56 4* Above expectations

Hotel was lovely, went to a work conference here and really was a cool place, would love to go back (dont think they would have us back!) but was very plush. Staff catered to every need. The only tiny bad points was that there is barely any reception signal in there hotel or grounds and as a result paying by card is slow as slow can be (oh and they wouldnt let you set up a tab at the bar!!)

massive!

23 Apr 08, 23:00 4* Above expectations

I stayed here at xmas and found the place amazing!

The staff are helpful and the place clean and tidy with views all over the cotswold water park.

The food is excellent, and other facilities very good, however there is no mini bars in the rooms which is disapointing.

If you want a drink, you need to walk miles to the downstairs bar or request room service, which is kinda pricey

a nice change from the usual bog standard hotels!

Good corporate hotel

22 Apr 08, 16:45 3* As expected

I stayed in this hotel for a works conference and it was nice. I wasnt massively impressed by the food but then they were catering for around 600 people!! The breakfast selection was very good and the views from some rooms were lovely. The bedrooms are all nice. I did have a room in outer mongolia out of one building and into another! They could do with a travelator!!

New hotel...

21 Apr 08, 00:05 3* As expected

... which means nice clean and well thought out rooms. The hotel is actually very nice and has a good spa/pool/gym which is great.

There is a restaurant next door (called the Boat House) which does good food if you don't want to eat in the hotel.

On the down side... there are no mini-bars which is a bit annoying and anything you request from room service (anything I say) incurs a £5 'delivery' charge - is that a joke?? Although to be fair they do warn you when you order. The internet speed at the hotel is also at best slow...

Overall though - good service, great clean rooms and a good spa.

Fabulous

20 Apr 08, 13:54 5* Beyond expectations

I went to a work conference held here where nearly 400 people were in attendance and this didn't phase the hotel in the slightest. They were well organised, the food was amazing, the hotel rooms were lovely and the setting itself was beautiful, with most of the rooms overlooking the lake. I would give this hotel top marks, not least for having to put up with a load of twats in fancy dress (us). Good work!

Gorgeous hotel rooms

14 Apr 08, 15:59 3* As expected

I had a very enjoyable stay here. Was at a works do and the room was gorgeous. It was a lovely size, double room - with a massive bed (well it seemed like it was) - all the mod cons, a decent size bathroom - and then I opened the double doors onto a massive balcony which over looked the lakes. Gorgeous.

The bad points were it didn't come with a mini bar and I had to queue for ages to leave the next morning. It seemed checking out time and arrival times were the same so everyone was standing around for up to an hour.
