As expected
A thatched roof with wooden beams makes you think you're going to enter a a cosy, old pub with a big log fire. At the end of the day it's just another Beefeater which is really nice inside but always feel a little disappointed as the outside is so gorgeous. Foods good, service is good, price is good but sits on a main road right next to McDonalds and opposite a Sainsbury's. I like how the machine in the gents has headache tablets right next to the 'special balloons' so if the women says "not tonight love I've got a headache" she can take one of those ;o)

An ok pub on a busy road

As expected
I went there recently for drinks after work. It's certainly changed from when I was last there and the decor is quite nice now. We were quite large group but the catered for us well and didn't seem bothered that we took over a large area of the bar. It is located on quite a busy road so possibly not the best for outside eating.

Above expectations
They're just done up this place and given it a thorough makeover. It's not in the most beautiful part of Dorset, but it does do great food at reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings.
