I think its the best gym bacause the staff are really knowledgeable and freindly! and help you all the way through your training, theres tvs on the walls and music on the machines plus they are all up to date and theres lots of machines to go around, the bonus for me is the sauna, steam room, hot tub, pool and classes that are included in the price its amazing value for money!! it makes working out more of a pleasure than a chore!

I love the classes at Riverside Leisure Centre.

They're motivating and fun. Once you've tried them, you'll want to do them again & again. Theres plenty of classes to choose from suiting all abilites. Ranging from Pilates, Yoga, Body Balance & Aqua to high intense classes such as Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Step & Body Attack.

The centre is open to everyone, you do not need to be a member, classes are prices competitively and you can pay for 8 and get 2 free.

The staff are friendly and approachable, the centre has a family feel to it.

The Riverside Leisure Centre has it all! Great gym loads of classes varying from yoga, pregnant pilates to body conditioning great if you need a shove in the right direction! Besides all of this they have tennis courts, football courts, squash courts to rent all at great prices. Of course they also have a large adult swimming pool and childrens pool and also offer swimming lessons from babies upto adults! Monthly membership is well worth every penny and they also have additions to all of this like sunbeds, sauna, jacuzzi etc perfect for relaxing after that hard work out! Comes highly recommended for beginners to fitness freaks

But that aside, it's not a bad pool, a decent gym, and has all the normal badminton etc... Parking is a bit tough in that Plaza complex (That's what it used to be called once) It's all ok. Not much more than that, staff are a bit away withy the fairies

I have recently cancelled my membership with Riverside. They have some quite nice facilities, just a shame that nothing ever works! Either the jacuzzi, steam room or sauna consistantly seem to be broken. The classes are good fun but again the air conditioning in the studio seems to be extremely faulty. Not worth the £35 per month membership fee.

We have just had a week with the kids for half term and thought we would have a morning swimming! Went to the riverside pool and had such a laugh, the kids loved the splash pool and us adults stayed in there for at least 2 hrs!
