The Mill On The Exe is one of those pubs you always drive past and can smell the food then turn to the person in the car with you and say I must go there! My Partner & I went there a couple of months ago and I must say it was a lovely Atmosphere as it was cold and wet outside and we were able to sit in the warm with a pint and enjoy looking out at the fast flowing river. That day we sampled the Nachos and I must say they were lovely, makes such a change to have proper tasting dips! creamy and tasty a perfect combi! Great place to take someone on a first date or if you are reliving you first date as we were!

The Mill On The Exe is in a beautiful location, Right next to the River Exe it's perfect for a relaxing drink in the summer, sat outside by the river or when the weather's bad the restaurant is cozy and warm and very appealing. The menu is varied and although some may find it slightly pricey, the food is excellent and you definately get what you pay for. The service is good, staff are friendly. Perfect for a rare evening out without the kids. Relax, sit back and enjoy.

nice atmosphere and great food. nice garden with great view of the exe-also has a few benches actually on the riverbank itself. this place is always busy so be aware especially on weekends although they do have alot -and i mean alot of seating so you should always be able to find somewhere to sit.

Really nice quiet pub with quiet atmosphere. Really good if you want to go for dinner and a chat with a friend or a first date. Nice views over the river if you are there before it's dark and a good menu with pub grub.

Dinner by the river...

Traditional looking gastro-pub which is situated on the River Exe just outside of the centre of the city. To order drinks and food one must go to the bar then the meals are brought to the table. The food is good and the prices reflect the portion sizes. The service is average. Large, timbered, airy rooms with an open fire on cold winter days help create a friendly atmosphere. Always busy especially at weekends but the size of the building means one can always find somewhere to sit. Good outside seating on a decked terrace overlooking the river, and also benches on the river bank itself.
