Above expectations
It is a shame that when this store was a locally run business, the people of North Devon lacked in support for it. Now it is part of a chain. They do have a great range of books on offer and for a good price. What i like about it in here is that the staff are never too busy to help with any enquiries.

Below expectations
Ok well, this used to be Ottakars a privately owned book shop. Recently taken over by the Giant Waterstones. Has changed from good local personal service book shop to being just another "knock em out cheap " national book shop. Really has lost the personal unique touch.

Beyond expectations
I love it in here. I could spend hours just browsing at all the books on offer in here. if has a really good atmosphere. I love to take my daughter in here on a saturday afternnon and she loves to look at the childrens book whilst I am wandering around

Above expectations
Now trading as Waterstones this store does a great job in a tiny space! They really could do with more room to improve the choice that's available, but the staff are great and very knowledgable.
