But if you are in the Pilton area, stop in for a good old fashioned experience. The tea is top notch and the cakes are so fluffy and scrummy. I could spend ages in here eating and reading the papers.

As expected
THis is a really old fashioned classy joint, which i have been in a couple of times. Only problem i found it was not in the town centre and was a walk up pilton street hill to get to it.. however if you can walk there or drive there its worth it

Above expectations
A delightfully old fashioned tea room, set in the heart of Pilton, a victorian area of Barnstaple. Well worth a visit, like going back in time, but if you are in Barnstaple its worth the 5 minute walk from the town centre to here, check it out.

Beyond expectations
a superb range of homemade cakes and lovely teas and coffees to partake of. would reccommend to anyone who had an elderly aunt that they would like to take out for a traditional afternnon tea. super !!
