Above expectations
The silver cod is decked out with so many white surfaces and just feels and looks super clean. It smells fantastic as you walk in and the taste won't let you down. Probably the fluffiest, lightest batter in town

Probably the best fish and chip gaff in the town, other than the pilton fryer i reckon! the takeway can get very busy esp on thurs and fri but the seating area at the back is usually ok.The waitress service you get is cool and the portions you get a on the big size! I do feel though that they are just interested in pumping out the volume!

As expected
good value compared to other places in town. smells fantastic when you wlak by. staff are freindly and service is good. there is a seating area at the back where there is waitress sewrvice. portions are quite generous

Picture this... It was my first date with a new girl I was trying to impress....so I took her to the Silver Cod. Possibly not the classiest place for a first date....but we did go on to get married!! See...it must be ok in there!! Nice little reseraunt out the back and takeaway out the front!

Beyond expectations
One of the happiest moments of my life happened in The Silly Cod. I saw someone open a sachet of tomato sauce and it squirted them right in the face! I would've laughed for longer but my chips were getting cold.
