Below expectations
Locals seem to like it, apart from that it aint a destination pub, they have quiz nights etc and stage small shows and that kinda stuff. They also do food, which is basic, competitve prices, but then they would have to be, it ok.

ever since Carina and her hubby sold this it seems to have gone down hill. It's tried to go local to residents in Pilton but I think they have missed the boat.. need to geta more welcoming atmosphere

I agree with Adrian M and Dave L. I have stopped going in here with friends. We don't trust the state of the kitchen and we can never seem to get a complete round of drinks. We all have varied tastes from beer to bloody mary's and trying to get what we want is a nightmare here.

Well below expectations
I have to agree with the above, we have our north devon spurs meetings here every month, ive no idea why, i suppose its close to where the chairman lives!! The bar is poorly stocked, the lady who runs the pub is less than cheerfull and its very cold in here even in the summer! The garden isnt too bad but i wouldnt suggest you eat here, it doesnt seem very clean in here if im honest! They have often run out of some beers so i drink an orange juice when i have to go here!!

Well below expectations
Not good. Just trying to get a drink here is a bit of an effort sometimes... The bar isn't what you'd call 'well stocked' at the best of times and I stopped going in there after being told one too many times that they didn't have this, that or the other...
