Beyond expectations
This is a fantastic pub with a friendly atmosphere. The staff are great and welcome you whenever you decide to visit. The beer is always good and not as expensive as some of the other places in town.

very small bar well known for its real ales pool room out the back very busy especially on Fridays bar snacks cheap booze cheap if you like getting squashed and shoved araound this is the place to go

You wouldn't really want to spend the whole night in here but it is good for a swift couple. There is a real mix of punters attracted to this pub. This makes it enjoyable.

I love the Corner House. I normally go in here to start the night off. Didn't realise that there is a function room out the back until last week! Staff are friendly and you can normally find a load of people singing along to either Roy Orbison or Dolly Parton on the Jukebox! Proper!

Below expectations
I always want to enjoy The Corner House a bit more than I actually do. It's changed a lot in recent years and not always for the better. Part of its charm was that it didn't have slot machines and a jukebox but those days are gone and the real ale can be a bit hit and miss...
