Good food cheap ale. Lyn the landlady is great fun very friendly with a good gals sense of humour. The front bar has sky tv and pool and darts 2 mins from bottom of high street

I've been in here a few times and found it average! Lyn the landlady is really cheerful and friendly. My best memory of this place is seeing a woman getting so drunk, she pee'd on the floor in the bar. Then Lyn threw her out by her collar calling her a dirty blimmer.... You had to be there it was brilliant!

St Awful Ales

09 May 08, 09:44 3* As expected

I wish I got to go in here more often that I do, but the trouble is it's not really on your way anywhere, and the fact that they sell St Austell beer isn't enough to draw you in.

out of the centre

placement is an issue here, its on the edge of town and it doesnt really have any theme etc to draw you to it for any length of time!! The staff are fine and the beer is actually very nice! The bar is pretty small and when full is full with very local more mature (in age) drinkers!!

Mixed reports

22 Apr 08, 11:49 3* As expected

I have heard a mix of reports about this pub. Some people hate it, some people love it. I don't really mind it. It will never be my first choice of pub and is located in an inconvenient place.

average pub

11 Apr 08, 13:45 3* As expected

these days pubs really do need to have something special to pull the crowds. This pub does always seem to have some sort of draw to it, but sadly there really isnt much to make you wanna walk across the bridge to pay a visit. The barmaid is really friendly, but these days, thats not eough sorry
