I think the problem that Barnstaple Football Club has is that this is a rugby town, so that's where the people and therefore the sponsors and the money end up. CAMRA have had a beer festival here a few times which improves it greatly!

this place has sadly deteriorated over the years. being a local I have been many times over the past few years and recently it just looked as though it could do with a lick of paint. the facilities are basic, they could really do with a big injsection of cash from somewhere.

This club really does seem to have gomne downhill fast. Sorry to say this, but the bar and buildings are looking rather tired and everytime i have been there for a function or a football match there isn't the friendliest of receptions awaiting you! The football side used to attract big crowds.. but now there is only about 40 or so for home matches which doesn't help cash flow to the premises
