Beyond expectations
How would you define a gym? Most people would say a gym is a place where you go to work out or get fit, or a place to do physical activity and develop your healthy life style.
At the Fitness Factory you are welcomed by big smiles, good listeners and a sense of humour. Even when I sit on the sofas having a cup of tea made for me, everyone who walks through the door and is welcomed by a cheery 'hello'.
As well as getting a good work out on the big range of equipment, there is always a friendly face to answer any of your fitness questions. For those who suffer from exercise, or even non exercise related injuries, there is an injury clinic which you can book yourself into for one to one treatment.
There is always a large range of classes to cater for everyone. The Fitness Factory offers lots of classes in the evening which is good for the student like me, and the mums who are looking after the children during the day.
Also at the Fitness Factory you can get help choosing the right pair of trainers. Many don’t no that there are different shapes of feet and this effects the mechanics of how you run.
There are annual dinners out (which I’m positive don’t happen at many other gyms) and always information on sporting event to take part in.
What separates this gym from others is its community spirit. The gym is never empty and there is always a friendly face to talk to. I think this is because the Fitness Factory is owned and run by a family, rather than a company. The fitness factory is more than a gym, it a social, warming, supportive escape from reality.

anything that survives in this industry for more than a couple of years must be doing something right. the location is in an old warehouse so it is quite quirky parking is a doodle as to get to it you have to go through the main car park staff are well trained and their rates are reasonable

In a well accessible place just of the town centre this company has changed hands a few times with alot of new owners trying new things. The basics are it is just a gym, but the cirrent owners seem to have got it right, with well priced memberships and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Before you sign up for any other gym it's worth checking this place out as it has lot more to offer than you first see
