despite being taken over several times this place always looks good from the outside. the current new owners have spent quite a bit on doing the placew up. they also cater for weddings and christenings. prices are good

Which is a lot to ask from many North Devon pubs. Do you think it's named after the song? "Ye mariners all as you pass by, call in and drink if you are dry, call in and drink think it not amiss, and pop your nose in a jug of this?" I don't know how many seamen they get in landlocked Braunton though...

Shame about the location

This pub really is great, and would probably do much better if it was in a better location. The function room is a good size and ideal for wedding receptions, parties, charity evenings and much more.

Only time I visited this pub was to go to a mates wedding do. Lovely pub, nice function room. One of those treasures thats hidden away down a side street. Has various littte "pockets" where you can have a quiet moment. Watchout for the uneven floors tho ... you're not really that drunk!

This a great pub in the UK's largest village. The Mariners has a bar, restaurant, a large function room and a beer garden (which is really nice in the summer!) Dotted around the pub are lots of old photographs of the village and of local legends, which is a great trip down memory lane for the Braunton folk!
