Heanton Court

As expected
It's funny, It's been called Heanton Court for years, then for some random reason it changed to Tarka Inn. But everyone I know still calls it Heanton Court! Used to be a pretty nice place and I love the fact that it's possibly haunted! It's in a nice location, just off the Tarka Trail. As mentioned in other reviews, the food is not really up to scratch and takes ages to arrive. It has a Huge car park though!

Be prepared to wait a while

Whenever i have been in here i have always found that i've had to wait such a long time for food. It is a beautiful venue and a stunning location. The staff are friendly and the prices reasonable, but it really does let it self down with the service of food.

Why change the name

This used to be Heanton Court but it changed to the Tarka Inn. Before the name change it was a pleasant place to visit with good food and friendly staff. Now its not. The food was basic .. almost boil in the bag (sorry) and we had to wait an age for it. Kids got bored, but luckily it was a sunny sunday so they were able to play outside till the food eventually arrived.

It's a pub for people who don't like pubs

Well below expectations
Why did they ban smoking in pubs when people who complained about it could have just gone to somewhere like this instead? It's bland, it's boring, you wouldn't go there for a drink, only if you fancied something out of the microwave.
