Its worth stopping here trust me, we phoned these lovley people to arrange a party of just 17 people to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary, you would have thought we had wanted to arrange a massive party the way these people bent over backwards to please us, every wish was granted with a smile, the food was not only fresh and cooked to perfection there was lots of it, there were no long waits, the timing was just great, there were a lot of very full tummys at the end of the meal and even if we tried to find fault i think it would be impossible to do, i was reluctant to give this rating because i would hate it to be fully booked next time we go down to my parents for a visit, but these people worked hard for us and it would be selfish of me not to share this great experience, these people have only been at this location for a year and are still building there reputation, i feel it my duty to spread the word as it is hard to find good value for money these days but you wont regret stopping here

this place has changed hands a couple of times but the quality just seems to get better and better. The meals you can get here are of a different class to anything else you can get in most plces here. The bar is lovely and you can just come here for a drink if you want too. Utter quality and well worth the drive out from Branstaple.

On the back road from Barnstaple towards Woolie and Ilfracombe, this place is easy to drive past, but you really should stop. The food is great, the pub is smart, and the restaurant very nice indeed. The food is great, with everything genuinly cooked and made on the premises and they use really local produce too, such as steak from the farm at the back..The owners are lovely people who have thrown their heart and soul into it. Delightful beer garden at the fron, which goes around the side, and they sometimes have a bouncy castle for the kids too.

If you're looking for a really good meal and want to get away from the throng at Woolacombe, then head to the Muddiford Inn, a ten minute drive away.
Food is typical pub fare and on Sundays they have an excellent choice of roasts for the meat eaters and a good choice for veggies too: the mushroom stroganoff gets my vote. The roast potatoes are to die for!
However what really does it for me is the huge, lovely garden. In summer it is by far the best place to have a g&t. And it has a wooden playhouse to keep the children occupied. Perfect.

This pub is so far out of the way if you don't live in Muddiford but it is worth the trip out. The food sensational, a great varied menu to choose from and very reasonable priced. The bar stocks a good range of local ales to try too.

well worth the drive to get to this place. Plenty of parking, locally sourced food, freshly cooked. This place has a nice sized restaurant but also serve food in the bar - ideal durning winter when the log fire is blazing. Good basic pub grub and a great restaurant menu as well.
