03 Feb 09, 23:25 5 Beyond expectations

amazing food served elegantly with generous portions and cosey atmosphere. menu in cludes things such as crocodile, taste of the wild( venison ostrich kangaroo) and loads more food from all around the world such as curry and baked alaska. the service from the waiters/waitresses is brilliant because of friendly attitudes and willingness to help. RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent Food. Great Staff. Great Atmosphere.

21 Oct 08, 08:53 5 Beyond expectations

Whenever I'm in this neck of the woods, my partner and I always try and pay the Three Crowns a visit along with friends.

Never had a bad meal.

We've tried a bit of everything from 'A Taste of he Wild' (Kangaroo, Veal and Ostrich), Crocodile, Wilderbeast, the lot! However, my personal favourite is the Fillet Steak with the Borrass sauce!

Desserts are excellent, well worth leaving a little bit of room for!

Staff are also very friendly and provide a great service.

If you are in the area or if you fancy trying something a bit different without leaving the comfort of a traditional 'country pub' setting give this place a try.

Amazing Food!

14 May 08, 16:28 5 Beyond expectations

This is a perfect choice for a birthday or special occassion. It's nice and relaxed with a lovely conservatory and the staff are always welcoming. The food is amazing with a huge choice of freshly prepared dishes. If you going then definately give yourself plenty of time as you'll want 3 courses and they are by no means small - so take your time.

Great

Consistently high standard for food and drink. Always of a good quality and I've never been disappointed when I've gone there.

Great atmosphere, perfect location and a massive choice on the menu, you're bound to find something you'll want to eat. Quite some exotic items on the menu, but you won't be upset with the portions you get

OH MY GOD...

16 Apr 08, 10:24 5 Beyond expectations

This place is fantastic. The food is always really really good and the puddings just finish it off nicely... If I could I would eat here every day but my budget doesn't stretch that far! As for the choice of main course, you don't have to order the normal, chicken, pork, lamb and beef. You can go exotic and order Crocodile, plus other different types of meat you wouldn't normally think of having, like Kangaroo. If you haven't been you are missing out on some top top food.

I like my crocodile rare please

10 Apr 08, 20:39 4 Above expectations

Very popular and has been for many years. Nice country pub and conservatory. Very extensive and unusual menu ranging from homemade steak pies to exotic dishes like ostrich, crocodile and even locust! Most served in rich sauces with piles of veg. If you get half way through you're an Olympic eater. Unfortunately, there's little or no spicy food on the menu. Prices for main courses range from £15 to £20
