6 reviews for Starbucks

£ for $

31 May 08, 00:09 4* Above expectations

I first sampled Starbucks in the States and regularly used them for coffee on the go. Now that they are spreading out of London, its a real treat to visit any branch. My only gripe is that the $ in the states is translated into £ in the UK. So a latte at $3.50 ( £1.75) is actually costing £3.50 over here. Its a shame that the Americans love of Cinnammon hasnt come to the UK Starbucks. This branch is great beacuse of the staff ... great Plymuff accents .. asking what Miwk you want in your larrtay.

expensive coffee

11 May 08, 18:27 3* As expected

again like all starbucks the coffee's are great and the hot chocolate-but it is expensive and there are never enough staff on-so you are kept waiting along time!! the panins sandwiches and pastries are also vey good but again way over priced-my suggestion would e a coffe from there early on to afford queues and a homemade sandwich!!!

Nice coffee

19 Apr 08, 07:35 3* As expected

It's a nice sweet little venue but these places are like shops in a box so you pretty much know what your gonna get when you walk into any starbucks.

when it first opened it was very funny to see the throngs of people who had never had a tall skinny latte.

So expensive

17 Apr 08, 13:37 2* Below expectations

Ouch! This place hurts your pocket something terrible!

The coffees and drinks do taste good, but you pay way over the odds for it.

Tasty, but you pay for it! Plus, there's always a huge queue and never enough staff serving!

Good lattes

17 Apr 08, 13:29 3* As expected

The coffee's and muffins are really good here.

The only trouble is the staff always seem really harrassed and things keep breaking.

I don't know whether they have loads of custom as there always a queue but the average wait is about 10 minutes, so not really the place to grab a coffee on the way into work.

Can't deny it's good but...

14 Apr 08, 15:43 3* As expected

You do get a lovely coffee, skinny latte, double chocco mocha thing in here I can't deny but you are paying a fortune for it. You can get to grips with this because it does taste good. What does become annoying is how long it takes to get your drink. You get in the queue, order your drink, they tell the next person, who makes it and then the next person serves it. By the time you get your drink you forget what you've ordered and your car parking has run out.

it does taste good though.
