Beyond expectations
River Island has to be one of the best places to shop.It has everything from trendy jeans and T-Shirts for casual wear to that "Special" little dress to give the "wow" factor! I particularly like their jeans as they come in a variety of lengths so whether you need short, regular or longer length there is something suitable for everyone. Their sizes are great too,starting from a tiny size 6 to the more voluptuous size 16. River Island certainly gets my vote!

As expected
It's very expensive for the usual sweatshop made stuff, not exactly well laid out either.
The staff think they're working in an Armani Boutique rather than a high st store, relentless generic R N B blasts out of the tinny speakers.
However when it's sale day worth checking as the discounts are large.
Staff seem more interested in standing around being cool than helping

As expected
This is a pretty average River Island store as the range of products goes. A good, large store with plenty of choice.
The prices are the usual River Island vastly inflated ones, although they do have a few "bargain" rails with last seasons stock on, and you can pick up some good bargains there.
The staff, however, are not impressive at all. They seem to constantly be stood around trying to look cool, and more than once I've gone in there and there've been 2 staff members chasing each other around the shop. When I took an item back for a refund, I was told that they couldn't process refunds that day because the system was down. The 30 day refund window ran out that day, so it was my last chance. They didn't care. Also, at risk of sounding too old (I'm actually 19!), the music is way too loud in the shop. I really object to having my ears blasted with thumping bass when I enter a shop to do a bit of shopping!
Good range of clothes, average prices, poor staff.
