I think this is one of the better stations in the GWR group. At least it sounds like they are having fun - unlike other stations who are all very clinical. This staion at least has personality on air. Music is generally the same as every other radio, but at least the presenters are entertaining

Plymouth sound loves Plymouth and loves being an important part of Plymouth and this comes through in the style and content of their presenting! A fabulous station that i really enjoy listening to!

A fantastic station, part of a wonderful group of stations which cater for every taste in music, competitions and information! the morning crew are superb, listen to them online if your out of the area, you`ll find it difficult to stop laughing! They knock spots off anything from those padestrian bbc people!! Love the website by the way, great stuff to win, shame i cant!!!

These reviews do seem to be biased, although I didn't know all the connections to the radio station.

I was simply bothered by someone using a review site to advertise their sponsorship and promotions services!

My own experience of listening to Plymouth Sound recently is that I like Bridgey but Helen is more cheerful than anyone should be at that time of morning. Don't like the afternoon guy but really like Sally during the day - she sounds quite edgey and like a Radio One dj. I get sick of the commercials and not impressed with the traffic info and the way it is presented.

Plymouth Sound is a good mix of music and talk. All the presenters are really good and the style of their shows are all very different, making it an interesting listen throughout the day.

Listeners are able to interact with the presenters by entering the competitions and requesting a song on Sally's interactive lunch.

The website, plymouthsound.co.uk, is also good.

from great on-air competitions to win money to winning the chance to meet your idols.

The music is varied and great- the kind of thing you can listen to without noticing and then realise how much you've taken in!

Just the right mix of music and chat...not too much chat like certain other stations!

Brilliant news and information, like last year I think it was, when the unexploded WWII bomb was found in Princerock, Plymouth Sound broke the news ages before anyone else and had live reports from there really regularly throughout the evening.

The presenters are fun and keep me entertained, waking up to Helen and Bridgy certainly helps kick me out of bed, Sally keeps me entertained throughout the day at work, and then Hamish on the way home makes me chuckle with his...different...sense of humour! It's also good to still hear Dave England on at the weekends!!

I love Music Control too - it's brilliant to hear all the new music around, and all the celeb interviews are wicked. How about playing a bit more variety of new music during the daytime??! ;)

On the whole, brilliant station, what else would I want to listen to?!

I love listening to plymouth sound. It has all the music i listen to and fits everyones taste. Helen and Bridgy are great morning time and present their show clearly with humour and seriousness.

I listen to plymouth sound mainly on sundays because thats when im not busy i listen to it in the garden and it just brigthens up your day

The station has all you need it is without doubt nationally wired and locally tuned. As well as some great content on the website. Some fantastic sports coverage and a second to noen news service!

Plymouth Sound is a great station with local news content, excellent travel & traffic updates reguarly throughout the day.

Great mix of music, Helen & Bridgy in the morning are brilliant, they also make me laugh. I like to listen on line, at work very sneeky!!
