Beyond expectations
Itis so lovely to come in here and browsw around taking in all of the books on offer. the range is fabulous and the whole store makes you feel very at ease. the prices are ok, but look out for the special offers

As expected
It is far too easy these days to fall into the habit of placing an order on Amazon's website, especially given that their free delivery now only requires a minimum of £15 spent....but every time I walk in this shop it reminds me why we should continue to support our high street book stores (ok so this is within The Mall shopping complex not a high street but you know what I mean ;) even somewhere like WH Smith is not the same as a bookshop like Waterstones or Blackwells. When you're in there you realise that you can't pick up a book and have a little flick through on the internet - you can sometimes search through them but it's not the same as leafing through whatever you pick up then making your final selection. I find the staff in Waterstones are always helpful and polite, willing to guide you to the section you need, and always willing to search for any book that you may want on their computer system. Keep the book shops alive!
