Above expectations
Really good pub grub last night! i met a couple of mates at the GW after work. Most of Zurich group seem to empty into it ,but despite that the service was fast and friendly and the fresh tuna sald I had was really excellent! It turned up too rare but they quickly whisked it away to give it another minute. The Tuna steak was delicious and generous and the salad really different and 'well dressed' . Really good value for money for all three of us!

The GW is great for some proper pub grub.
It is reasonably priced and it has a great atmosphere.
It's dead handy for people getting off a train and is great for lunch breaks.

The GW has had several facelifts over the years and has "kept up with the times"
The staff are friendly and serve good pints, with a very good food menu.
Can get busy during swindon town home games and has atracted trouble in the past but not the fault of the pub, but more away fans.
surroundings are clean and tidy and handy as its right next to the train station
