Being a member of the armed forces i tend to judge the establishments on their coffee and food.

I visited the county stores two weeks ago while having a morning off work i went with the wife we ordered coffee (truckers cup) and a scone and my wife ordered a tea and a piece of cheesecake.

This scone was the best i have ever tasted and the coffee was even better than you get in the tin.

The service was outstanding i would recommend this store to anyone in the county its worth the visit.

This is a classic shop that seems to stock all those weird and wonderful things that noone else does. It's been around for ever and my dad used to love going there and buying strange foods like qual's eggs. I love the sweets and nuts counter wher you can get all sorts of dried fruits, yogurt raisens..you name it. It's probably the best shop in the world. Don't expect the best prices that's what all the other sheds are there for this is a little Aladins cave that is truely unique. Love it!

One of those shops that takes you back years. On the Ground Floor are a range of food departments, Cakes, general groceries and a small deli. Upstairs you can find all those odd presents for family and friends and has a good range of items connected with Somerset to send kids off on exchange visits with.

Like stepping back in time!

I love this shop!

Going into it now still reminds me of my childhood. Goining in on a Saturday afternoon with my Mum and smelling the shop full of coffee beans. It really reminds me of what a black and white street photo of your town in the 1800's should smell like.

They have everything in there, and not by the usual brands either! Great for quirky presents for family members you have run out of ideas for!
